GOOD THRILLER MOVIES
THE HOLE IN PRE-PRODUCTION
After making the decision to head down the trail of independent filmmaking AGAIN, I’ve decided to take an alternative approach to this future film’s success. This time the film will be able to stand with other Good Thriller Movies.
FIRST FEATURE FILM – WHAT TO SUSTAIN
My first feature film PITCHING HOPE had some sustainable points and some needed improvements in it’s own right. Successes include the completion of an actual feature film and the securing of distribution from a boutique company. The 2 year experience was a really great exercise in the use all of the skills I was taught in film school. This skills include screenwriting, camera work and post-production. It also taught me what it really took to make a decent film. I’m very grateful for my military background, especially the planning aspect (pre-production), execution of tasks/supporting tasks (actual production) and After Action Reviews (done daily). Having these after action reviews made everyone feel they had ownership of the project.
FIRST FEATURE FILM – NEED IMPROVEMENTS
The ugly truth about failure; the script was alright, not fantastic by any means. There were a few golden nuggets that played out well on the screen. But if worked with additional writers, there would have been an overall improvement to the story’s health. The most dreadful experience was in fact the distribution processes. Securing a distribution deal with a small company was not what was expected. Instead of taking the film and sending it to their “droves” of audience and buyers, the company asked for access to my social networks. The pay off was simply my film on ending up on Amazon. Wow! You’re a fucking joke Mr. Independent Film Distro Company. The experience was very disappointing and forced me to take control of my next films destiny. Again, this time the film will be part of someone’s list of good thriller movies.
A NEW WAY: PRODUCE & SELL YOUR MOVIE
There are many independent films in the past considered good thriller movies. Our film, THE HOLE will earn its position on many lists without the pillaging of our moral fiber. By working with Scott McMahon founder of Film Trooper. we are avoiding this tragedy. Scott’s company is a movement created to help people such as myself create good thriller movies. Or those trying to shoot an action film. He’s available to help you reach your goals. Film Troopers angle to independent filmmaking is by incorporating the teachings and concepts of online entrepreneurs. By tweaking and bending those principals to serve the independent filmmaker, success is inevitable. Oh yea, and by doing it with lower end budgets. The idea is to funnel sales to higher priced, follow on products. Scott feels you don’t need 100,000 follows on social networks. You only need a few hundred customers to buy your listed products.
SUCCESS IS OURS
Our mission right now is to produce good thriller movies, through inventive, online business plans methods. With systematic plan that pushes pre-production while embracing hard and honest corrections and living with an iron clad attitude, THE HOLE will be proven successful.
